From start to finish, these are made by meticulously weaving leather straps by hand. Over time, the shoes adapt to the shape of your feet, becoming a truly personalized item that resembles you.

Nayarit stays true to the essence of the classic Huarache with a clean, understated woven pattern. Its minimalist design makes it easy to style for everyday wear, while the open-toe silhouette pairs effortlessly with socks for a different look throughout the seasons. A looped leather pull tab on the instep adds both a subtle design detail and makes slipping the shoes on and off more convenient.

SIZE GUIDE

  • CAPITAN shoes are available in 10 mm increments. As each pair is handcrafted, sizing may vary slightly depending on the last, leather, and design.

  • Since every foot shape and fit preference is different, it is difficult to recommend one exact size for everyone.

  • Please refer to the size guide below and carefully choose your size before placing an order. If you need help selecting the right size, feel free to send us a DM on Instagram at @hola_capitan.

How to Measure Your Feet

Please follow the steps below to measure your foot length, foot width, and instep circumference.

What you'll need: A sheet of paper, a thin pen or pencil, a ruler, and a measuring tape (or a piece of string).

Tip: When tracing your foot, hold the pen perpendicular to the paper for the most accurate measurement.

  1. Measure Your Foot Length (Most Important)

    - Place your foot flat on a sheet of paper. Measure the distance from the tip of your longest toe to the farthest point of your heel.
  2. Measure Your Foot Width
    - Identify the widest part of your foot and mark the outermost points on both sides. Measure the distance between these two points.
  3. Measure Your Instep Circumference
    - Wrap a measuring tape (or a piece of string) around the highest part of your instep (the top of your foot).
    - If using a string, mark where it overlaps, then lay it flat and measure its length with a ruler.

Choosing Your Size

Select your shoe size based primarily on your foot length.

If there is a significant difference (more than 2 cm) between your foot length and either your foot width or instep circumference, we recommend contacting us via Instagram @hola_capitan before placing your order for personalized sizing advice.

Examples

  • Foot Length: 23.0 cm / Foot Width: 23.0 cm / Instep Circumference: 23.8 cm → Recommended Size: 230
  • Foot Length: 23.0 cm / Foot Width: 24.8 cm / Instep Circumference: 24.8 cm → Recommended Size: 230

Notice

  • If your foot length falls on a size ending in 5 (e.g. 225, 235, 245), we recommend sizing down if you have narrow feet, and sizing up if you have wide feet.
  • For the Michoacan and Puebla, we recommend choosing one size up.
